Odean, age 85, passed away at Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home in Hot Springs. Odean was the youngest child of Andrew and Marie (Rudd) Christopherson. He graduated from High School in Clark, South Dakota in 1942. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1944 during World War II in the Pacific, ending up on Okinawa, Japan when the war ended; honorably discharged in 1946. He was a musician who played the accordion, piano, and organ. He married M. Lorraine Foster in 1971. He is survived by his wife, his children, Jerry Christopherson, Vernie Christopherson, and Debbie Gluyas, his step-children, Edna McKnight, Esther Clements, and James McKnight, his siblings, Alf Christopherson, Clara Kroutil, and Hazel Ness, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial Services were held at United Church. Interment was in Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
