Wright Bass Dies
Wright Bass, 320 South Mechanic St., died at 6:20 a.m. Saturday in the Winter Veteran Hospital, Topeka.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Steward Reed, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene. Ball-McColm Post No. 5, American Legion, will conduct graveside services in Maplewood.
Born Feb. 13th, 1896, in Unionville, Mo., Mr. Bass was the son of Marion M. and Rachel Cline Bass. He never married.He is survived by six brothers, Lawrence W. Bass, 320 South Mechanic St.; Bert, of Hartford; Peter, of Americus; Clem, of 706 West St., Emporia; Howard, of Burlington, and Marion of Chanute; one sister, Mrs. Frances Amoneno, of Kansas City, Mo. He was preceded in death by one brother, William, and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Gillispie. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the America Legion.
