Funeral services for Marsha Watkins, 61, will be Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will follow at Connerville Cemetery.


The daughter of late Russell and Mary Joyce Gray Callahan, Marsha was born July 27, 1947 in Stuart, Florida and passed away December 5 at a local hospital.


She and Roger Watkins were married May 13, 1974 at Gainesville, Texas.


A resident of Ardmore for all of her life, she graduated in 1965 from Ardmore High School and then from Murray State College. She had worked for Samedan Oil Company as a switchboard operator and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Women's Sunday School Class.


Survivors include her husband of the home, her son Dr. Steven Watkins and his wife Mistye, her daughter, Kelli Spencer and her husband Charles all of Ardmore; a sister Becky Grider and her husband Tony of Norman; grandchildren Jacob and Caleb Spencer, Austin and Gavin Watkins all of Ardmore; nephew, Christopher Grider and his wife Anna, niece Callan Rebecca Grider and great niece Ella Grace Grider all of Norman.


A time of visitation and support will be held Monday evening from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
