Alice was born on September 8, 1925 in Goochland County Virginia in her Aunt Hattie's home on River Road. She was born to Joseph Eldred "Jack" and Sarah Alice Fuller Goodrich.

Alice had two brothers, Joseph E. and Johnny P. Goodrich.
She went to high School in San Francisco California.

Alice married Paul Edward Ritchie. Born to this union: Gary Edward and Dorothy L.

This marriage ended in divorce.

Alice married a second time to David Samuel Chapman on November 24, 1947 in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia.

Born to this union: James David and Carolyn Sue.

Alice knew how to think like a man, work like a dog and act like a lady, she had natural beauty! Alice was a Christian, a member of the Eastern Star. She went to be with the Lord on September 5, 1995. She is missed every day by her children and grandchildren.
