Susan Frear was born about 1821 in Dutchess County, New York. She married William H. Gould about 1843 and had 3 children, Stephen H., George Henry Gould, and Jane Ann Gould Doles. Her husband died in 1861 in Dutchess County and was buried in the Old Dutch Church Cemetery, which no longer exists. Susan never remarried and was always listed as the widow of William H. Gould in Rochester City Directories. She died at 95 Gibbs St. Rochester, NY, the home of her son. Her son, George Henry Gould is buried in White Haven Memorial Park. Daughter Jennie A. Doles’s is buried just about 50 feet away in Section W at Mt. Hope.
