Aileen BEATY, 85, died at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 14, 2000 at the Franklin Skilled Care Nursing Unit, Benton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, in the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger ELLSWORTH officiating.
Burial will be in the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. BEATY was born on Oct. 1, 1914, in Franklin County, the daughter of Harvey and Zella (HAYS) KIRK. She married John Claude BEATY on July 18, 1935 and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1979.
Mrs. BEATY was a homemaker and later worked for the Carmi Baptist Children's Home and the Franklin County Home Extension. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Benton.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara and husband Clarence BENARD, Benton; three granddaughters, Marla and husband Richard HARP, Aletha and husband Robert JACKSON, Sonya and husband Terry SHELTON; three great-grandchildren, Jared and Joshua HARP and Nicholas SHELTON, all of Benton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two granddaughters, Darla BENARD and Angela BENARD.
