He married Patricia J. McCormick December 18, 1950 in Angola, Indiana.
Mr. Alexander retired in 1983 from Grand Trunk Western Railroad.
He served his country honorably in the US Navy.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Patricia; six children, Bruce (Debbie) Alexander of Smiths Creek, Charles (Wendy) Alexander of Marysville, Paul Alexander of Phoenix, Arizona, Becky (Joseph) Plajstek of Clarkston, Margaret (David) Duncan of North Street and Lisa Alexander of Port Huron; ten grandchildren, Bradley and Katie Plajstek, Natalie (Bill) Pruett, Kirbylynn, Kelsey, Kylee, Brandon and Shane Alexander and Reese and Chase Duncan; mother-in-law, Jean McCormick; sister-in-law, Ruth Alexander of Ardmore, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy in 1960; a son, Eugene in 1999 and a brother, Brett.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball.
