ARTON ADKINS, 84, of Ceredo, husband of Ethel Ross Adkins, departed this life Friday, March 10, 2006, in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born Nov. 15, 1921, to the late Floyd and Amanda Adkins. In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Ross Adkins, and his stepmother Lillian Adkins. In addition to his wife Ethel, survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Ed and Linda Hyman of Aurora, Colo., two stepdaughters and their spouses, Jennings and Patty Lester of Huntington and Dale and Dinah Ledbetter of Ceredo; one grandson, Dave Collins of Aurora; one granddaughter and spouse, Mitchell and Stephanie Foster of Aurora; two stepgranddaughters and spouses, Tat and Angela Tang of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Jimmy and Nicole Parker of Ceredo; one stepgrandson and spouse, John and Chrissy Lester of Catlettsburg, Ky.; two great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Anna Foster; four stepgreat-grandchildren, Tanner and Sydney Lester, Jacob and Joel Tang. Mr. Adkins was retired from Rich Toyota in Huntington. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Minister Don Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Crook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank everyone for all of their prayers and concerns during this time of loss
