Obituary:
Mrs. Charlene Hicks Smith, 48, of Ransom Drive, Murfreesboro, TN, died Tuesday, November 2, at Vanderbilt Hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 4, at 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro with Rev. Don Edwards officiating. Burial was in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Lincoln County, Tennessee, and a member of the Southeast Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Selvin Smith Jr.; a son Keith Smith of Norfolk, VA; a daughter, Mrs. Karen Brown of Murfreesboro, TN; two grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Alma Hicks of Ardmore, TN; a brother, William M. Hicks of Ardmore, AL, two sisters, Ann Hall of Huntsville, AL, and Hazel Roden of Ardmore, TN.
