He died on January 28 1910 at 5pm, at the age of 64 years and 27 days, "with all religious comfort." He was buried Jan. 31, after the funeral held at the Cathedral of Crema.
Today his tomb is in a niches at the Crema's Mausoleum of famous citizens.
