GREENSBORO - Mrs. Mabel Exum Dodson, of 901 W. Florida St., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 19, 2008.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, December 27, at New Jerusalem Cathedral, 1822 Sharpe Road, Greensboro, N.C., with Bishop Morris Lewis and Pastor Dr. Kevin A. Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Park.
Mabel Exum Dodson was born February 11, 1947, in Tarboro, N.C., to the late Charles and Roberta Exum. She worked at UNCG Food Services retiring after 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Leora McKoy and her brother, Charles Exum, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, John Dodson; two daughters, Marion Exum of Greensboro, N.C. and Wanda Exum-Talbert (Darryl) of Wadesboro, N.C.; one son, Timothy Exum (Lisa) of Greensboro, N.C.; one brother, Robert Exum (Vernestine) of New York City, N.Y.; four sisters, Jerlie McPhaul of Baltimore, Md., Cindory Cheek, Joan Owens (John) and Joyce Exum all of Greensboro, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
