Gertrude H. Bachler of Lake Road, Webster, died Saturday, November 1, 1986 at the Cupola Nursing Home in Brockport where she had been a patient since January. The Reverend Clyde L. Mellinger, Jr. officiated at the 4 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday, November 4 at the Willard H. Scott Funeral Home. Interment was at Mt. Albion Cemetery in Albion. She was born on November 7, 1891 at Albion to Anson and Jennie Cary Hutton. Married in 1925 to Frank G. Bachler, the couple made their home Rochester until moving to the Lake Road address in 1935. From 1950 until 1980, the Bachler's operated an antique business at the corner of Lake and Basket Roads. Mr. Bachler died a year ago. She was a graduate of Albion High School. Mrs. Bachler enjoyed making and exhibiting hooked rugs and belonged to the Webster Rug Guild. Also, she was a member of the Webster Museum and Historical Society, where many of her collections have been displayed. She is survived by a son, Kerry of Webster; a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Sara Ann) VanAst of Hamlin; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
