Mrs. Tom fish, 39, of Shellsburg Dies; Set Funeral Friday

Shellsburg-Mrs. Tom Fish 39, a resident of Shellsburg for 33 years, died at her home here Tuesday following a lingering illness.,
As Dorthy Arlene Boyer, she was born at Palo Feb 11 1923, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Boyer. Following her graduation from Shellsburg high school in 1940 she attended Cedar Rapids Business College. She was employed at Russel Guide in Cedar Rapids for about two years before she purchased the Clover Farm store in Shellsburg.
On Nov 4 1945 she was married to George Tom Fish. She was a member of Grace Trinity church of Shellsburg, and the American Legion Auxiliary. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Rad Thomas, Rilda Colleen and Roy Merle; her parents, a sister Mrs. Glen (Ione) Wilt, and five brothers, Merle Wayne, Ray and Dean all of Shellsburg and Guy of Melbourne, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at Grace Trinity church Friday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Earl Travis officiating. Friends may call at the Fry and Holland funeral home in Vinton after 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
A memorial fund has been established for Grace Trinity church.
