Chico Record, Sunday Morning July 26, 1914, pg 5 col 4: Father and Son, Once Chicoans, Die in Oakland. Funeral services over the remains of Warren H. Earle and the interment of Alvah F. Earle, father and son, both of whom died in Oakland, will be held in Chico, their former home, Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock.
Warren H. Earle passed away in Oakland July 23. He was seventy-eight years old. He lived in Chico until 1911, when he moved to Oakland.
Deceased was a charter member of the Chico Baptist church and a member of the Odd Fellows and A.O.U.W. He is survived by his widow, Libbie M. Earle, and W.W. Earle and Edna Earle, son and daughter.
Alvah Earle died in Oakland June 15. Services were conducted June 18 by Rev. Spencer and interment will be in the Chico cemetery under the auspices of the W.O.W. Tuesday afternoon.
Deceased was born in Chico, where he resided until fourteen years ago. He was at one time a member of the National Guard and the Chico Fire Department.
