"Mrs. Ada Coleman, aged 77, died July 12,1942, at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Lakewood the daughter of John and Rebecca Allison, and has spent her entire life there.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Dean, White Plains; Mrs. Caroline Tilton, Lakewood; a son, John Coleman, Brooklyn; one brother, James Allison, Runnemease; 15 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was a member of the Lakewood First Methodist School; of Pride of Laurel Council, Sons and Daughters of Liberty , and of Camp 35, P O of A.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Westhall Funeral Home, the Rev. William Ewen, pastor of the Lakewood First Methodist Church, officiating. Interment followed in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Lakewood".
