daughter of Leroy and Lura Bell
aged 3 days
cause of death: spasms
MO death cert. #16182

A little daughter, who was given the name of Hazel, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Bell on the night of April 1st. Little Hazel only remained to brighten the lives of the fond parents until Friday evening, when her little spirit took its flight to the One who gave it. It was a little flower only to stay for such a short time; why, we cannot tell, but God in His wisdom knoweth and understands all the mysteries which we cannot fathom. It's a little tie which will make Heaven seem nearer. Another little angel has joined the Heavenly throng to greet the loved ones when they are called to Heavenly lands. Funeral services were conducted at the J.M. Manion home Sunday morning by D.M. Johnston. The remains were then conveyed to the Nagle cemetery and laid to rest.
"Beckoning hands at the gateway tonight,
Faces all shining with radiant light;
Eyes looking down from yon Heavenly home,
Beautiful hands, they are beckoning come."

--Houston Herald, 4/10/1919 p. 4
