Norma Kappmeyer, 94, of Tripoli, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Waverly Health Center, Waverly, from complications following a stroke.
She was born Jan. 20, 1914, in Waverly, daughter of Herman and Emma Buhr Tegtmeier. She married Paul C. Kappmeyer on April 28, 1940, at St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Tripoli. He died in 1985.
Mrs. Kappmayer graduated from Tripoli High School in 1931 and was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Tripoli. She and her husband farmed southwest of Tripoli for many years.
Survived by three daughters, Audrey (Lavern) Busse of Cedar Rapids, Phyllis (Bill) Zwanziger of Janesville and Janice (Charles) Mueller of Tripoli; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and 13 step great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a grandson; and a brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Leona Tegtmeier.
Services AT 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Faith United Church of Christ, Tripoli, with burial in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the church, Tripoli Nursing Home or Cedar Valley Hospice.
