Born to Parents: John Compton and Rebecca (Wallace/Wallis) Compton; Spouse: Robert Lesley, mar. 18 or 21 May 1787 in Montgomery County, Virginia - she was from Leesburg, Virginia, and there were some Comptons (John and William) who were living nearby; 15 children - ten born on the Bluestone in Virginia and five born at the Lesley settlement on John's Creek, Floyd County (now Pike County), Kentucky per Lesley-Leslie and Lesley-Leslie Supplement by Ruth Cleveland Leslie, pages 9 and 98. "The Comptons are said to be of English extraction. Elizabeth has been described as fair, with golden hair, characteristics which are still quite prevalent among her present-day descents." - Lesley-Leslie, page 9.
