Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Watson-Edwards & Evans Funeral Home, Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Izetta Bandyball and Tommy Carter, and a brother, Clarence Raspberry.
Mr. Ball attended O'Bannon Junior-Senior High School, where he played football. After school he joined the U.S. Army where he served for 21 years. After retiring from the Army, he came home to Greenville and worked for the Greenville Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: a devoted wife, Lotis Ball; a son, Albert Ball Jr.; two sisters, Jessie Brussard of Fairfield, Calif. and Willie (Homer) Wilburn of Chicago, Ill.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
