HIRAM E. BRUBAKER of Box 380D, Tyrone RD 2, died at 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 1977, in Altoona Hospital, after an extended illness. Mr. Brubaker was a self employed cabinet maker, retiring on disability in 1969.

He was born Dec. 15, 1907, in Frankstown Township, a son of Elinas M. and Cora (Sell) Brubaker, and married Wilma Furry on March 20, 1934, in Williamsburg.

Surviving are his wife, six children, Mrs. Regina Harmon of Juniata, Robert L. of Roots Crossing, Raymond C. of Killeen, Tex., David L. of Valparaso, Ind., Kenneth C. of Williamsburg, and Mrs. Viola Dollar of Hook Norton, England; 14 grandchildren, four great-grandsons and eight brothers and sisters, Elmer of Hollidaysburg, Mrs. Myra McKee of Altoona, Lloyd and Irvin of Hollidaysburg RD, Emmert of Williamsburg RD, Wesley of Walkerton, Ind., Mrs. Leona Furry of Williamsburg RD, and Harry of Roaring Spring RD.

Mr. Brubaker was a member of the Tyrone Church of the Brethren, the Men's Bible Class, the Men's Fellowship, and was serving as a lifelong deacon.

Friends will be received in the Getz & Searer Funeral Home, Tyrone, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and in the Tyrone Church of the Brethren from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.
