Robert J. Fenner was born in Worcester, son of Harry James Fenner and Laura Julia Barton Fenner. Bob was an Army veteran during the Korean War era who served in West Germany. He was a longtime laborer for several moving companies and the tallest of six brothers and six sisters.

Bob's niece, Kathy, remembers a time when he spent many, many nights sitting in her kitchen, in order to protect her from a rash of neighborhood break-ins and rapes. Bob is buried in the back of the cemetery near the highway in a section with flat stones.
