ETHEL MAE IMLER, of Box 36, Duncansville RD 2, died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 1978, in the Valley View Home, following an extended illness.

She was born Jan. 8, 1898, in Langdondale, Bedford County, a daughter of James E. and Minnie (Browell) Helsel, and Jan. 29, 1921, in Duncansville married Hileman W. Imler, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. Binnie Imler of Fort Fetter, Hollidaysburg, Mrs. M. Izella Bowser of Hollidaysburg and Kenneth L., at home; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two brother and a sister, Ellworth Helsel and Mrs. Dorothy Brubaker of Carson Valley and Edward Helsel of Altoona.

Mrs. Imler was a member of the United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg, and the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the WCTU and Moms of America.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Plank & Stitt Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.
