JOSEPH GRAY DEAD.

Aged Wichitan Passed Away After Six Weeks' Illness.

Mr. Joseph Gray died at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon, at his home, 1642 South Mead avenue, after six weeks' illness from a stroke of paralysis. This was the second stroke. He suffered one about eight years ago, but had almost completely recovered from it. Next June he would have been seventy years of age, and has lived in Wichita about ten years. He was born in Ohio, and served two years in the Thirty-third Illinois infantry, and was discharged for disability. He returned home and recuperated and entered the service again with an Ohio regiment. He saw three years of service in the Union army. He leaves a wife and two children, Mrs. Thomas Voss and Mr. W P. Voss, all of this city. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, from the residence. Rev. Bradt, of the First Presbyterian church, will have charge of the services.
