Mrs. Charles Anderson
Chesterton - Services will be held Tuesday at Augsburg Lutheran Church for Mrs. Charles (Lida) Anderson, 84, who died Friday at Walters Hospital, Michigan City.
The Rev. Lawrence Swanson will officiate. Burial will be in Augsburg Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at White Funeral Home. The family requests memorials be made to the Augsburg Lutheran Church memorial fund.
An area resident for 38 years coming from Chicago, she was born there on Dec. 17, 1889, a daughter of Frank and Lida (Johnson) Solomon. On Jan. 2, 1912 in Chicago, she was married to Charles D. Anderson, who preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1951.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of the L.C.W. of Augsburg Church and was an accomplished painter.
Surviving are a son, Frank J., Spartanburg, S.C.; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Sales, Lafayette, Calif., Mrs. Louis Ahrendt, Chesterton, Mrs. William Rittweger, Itaska, Ill. and Mrs. Sam Flatz, St. Clair, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
