James is the son of Floyd Sparks and Louise (Carkhuff) Sparks
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday Aug 19, 2003 at the Bangor Liberty Friends Church in Bagor, Iowa, with the Rev. Keith Haisch officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery in Union.
Jim is survieded by his wife Evelyn, his three daughters; Nancy (Steve) Smith of Guthrie Center Iowa, Marcia (Neal) Hadden of Oskaloosa, Iowa; Sharon (Jan) Johnson of Union, Iowa: his three brothers; Donald (Mary) Sparks of New Providence, Iowa: Russell (Betty) Sparks of Melbourne,Iowa: John Sparks (Friend) Teri of State Center, Iowa; his four sisters; Virginia Clemons of State Center; Maxine (John) Mohr of Marshalltown Iowa; Nola (LaVern) German of State center,Iowa; Joanne (Bob) Benner of State Center, Iowa;his sister-in-laws; Virgina Sparks State Center, Iowa; Ina Mae Sparks of Clemons, Iowa and his nine grandchildern.
