Elizabeth's maiden name was Starner (not Steiner), according to the death record for her husband, George Stair (1777-1849), filed on 11 Aug 1854 (Pennsylvania, Deaths, 1852-1854 on Ancestry.com). (It is not known why a death record was filed for George, who had died five years before, instead of Elizabeth.)

George and Elizabeth (Starner) Stair had the following children: Lydia (1810), Maria (1811), Julianna (1814), Salome (1815), Charles (1817), Samuel (1819), Caroline (1823), Christiana (1825), Anna Maria (1827), and Peter (1829).

George's children George (1806) and Elizabeth (1807) may have been from a prior wife as Elizabeth would have been about 15 when George was born and 16 when Elizabeth was born.
