Bob lived a hard life. He smoked and drank most of his adult life and that really took a toll on his health.
He had a 1 child named Annette with his 1st spouse Brenda (Wickerham)in the 60's in Southern California. He also had a stepson Brenda'a son, Shane Arthur Wickerham.
Later he met his wife Jackie. Bob and Jackie moved up to Alaska, where they had 3 children.
which I have never met.
They would be in there 30's to 40's now.
Jackie and the kids as far as I know remained in Alaska.
The happiest time in Bob's life is when he lived in Alaska with his wife Jackie and his children.
He even helped Jackie with the delivery of the birth all of his own children.
Bob loved Alaska, being with nature and the wilderness.
Bob Hunted and panned for gold. Built his own cabin and he told us that he fit there and he belonged.
Unfortunately a few years later they divorced and Bob moved back to California. He never remarried.
Later Bob moved to Tahoe California where my Sister Linda was living at the time. (She unexpectedly died from Kidney illness she had for a while. April 8th 2000 she died from complications due to renal failure.)
Bob drove a cab for several years in Tahoe on the Nevada side. Loved driving his cab, till his illness of lunge disease stopped him from working.
A few years later had developed heart problems and became diabetic and unable to walk because of not being able to breath.
He suffered a long time with his breathing and a year or so later Bob had to be put in a wheel chair just to get around.
Bob came to live at Wanda's Boarding house and his care giver Judy in 2000, (which is an assisted living home).
Bob resided there for 8 years after he became terminal. He was only suppose to live about 6 months when he came to live at Wanda's, and survived for 8 years before his death Jan 26, 2009.
Bob passed away at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Redbluff California of Tahama County. He requested not be put on a ventilator. He passed away at 3pm PST in room 560.
Surrounding him was his half brother and Half sister's and there families, from our dads side.
I was unfortunately not able to be there when he died.
He also has a half sister Ann who lives in Norman Oklahoma and another Half Sister Barbara who lives in Beggs Oklahoma.
He has two full blood siblings and that is me and Linda (Linda, who passed away in 2000). I am the only one left and I'm the baby of our family. Bob's sister: Sharon Zimmer.
He will be missed by all who loved him.
