Leo Wilt, 72, Dysart, died Friday at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. He was born in Dysart RD, son of the late Augustine "Gus" and Philomena (Monahan) Wilt. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Frances Reiprecht, Jan. 1, 1965, and a sister, Phyllis Ann. Surviving are his wife, the former Dot Davison, whom he married Oct. 27, 1966, in Winchester, Va.; five children: Valerie Hrubochak (companion, Louis Kostelac) of Steelton, Phyllis Faggard at home, Leo III (Sheila Alexander) of Chandler, Ariz., Scott Miller (Alesia Calise) of Juniata and Dave (Sis Robair) of Dysart; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers: Joseph of Dysart and Thomas of Anderson, Calif.; a sister, Mary Ann Weakland (James) of Ashville; as well as several nieces and nephews Leo served in the Army Reserves. He co-owned and operated Specialty Lift Truck Inc., Altoona, for 14 years and retired in 1999. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and his fire pit. He was a member of Patton Sportsman; 3rd Degree member of Knights of Columbus, Altoona; Holy Name Society; and St. Augustine Catholic Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville, where a vigil service will be held Monday afternoon. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, the Rev. Joseph Fleming as celebrant. Committal at the church cemetery.
