Prominent Citizen Passes Away
Miss Kate C. Dent, 55 years of age a native of Clayton, Alabama, who has been a prominent resident of Biloxi for the past twenty seven years died here yesterday.afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Deceased had lived an excellent life and during her time of residence in this city she engaged in much work of charity. She was loved by a large number of friends in this and other cities. Miss Dent is survived by two brothers and other relatives beside her numerous friends. Funeral services were conducted at the home 118 Main Street this morning Rev. Byron Holley conduction them. Services were also held in the Church of the Redeemer of which church deceased was a devout member. The remains, accompanied by relatives, were taken to Clayton,
Alabama. her birth place and former home, where the funeral will be held. Many beautiful floral offerings showed the high esteem in which she was held.
