This is what her children wrote about her that was read at her funeral services:

Our Mother, Our Friend

When thinking of Rhea many things come to mind, most of all she was gentle and very kind. She was the quiet one of 13, and if you knew her brothers and sisters, you would know what I mean.
Some would say her greatest achievement was her 3 girls and 3 boys, over the years they have brought few tears and much more joy. She was always there when needed as a mother or wife; thankfully she had a good sense of humor and joy for life.
It has been said when baking with her grandchildren it was never a chore, they always begged her to let them do more.
The one thing we will always remember when growing up, she worked as a waitress taking in tips, and would never leave the house without her ruby red lips. On the weekends we would go to the lake, so much food she would take. Her homemade chocolate pudding was the best and once it was all gone we all would rest. It would not be the same if Rhea didn't join in when playing games; she knew all the lingo especially when playing bingo. Most people need a cup of coffee to start their day, not Rhea "give me the crossword puzzle" she would say. The letters she uses always fit, whether they made real words did not matter a bit. Her travels took her near and far, Hawaii was the best by far. At this point the one thing to say is we all love you Rhea and will always treasure the precious moments you gave to all of us.

Rhea is my sister-in-law.
