Joseph Burson was still living on 31 May 1770 as Fairfax Mtg reports he is receiving assistance from the Executors of his son's estate as was desired in the 1769 Will of son Benjamin Burson [VA Will Bk A, pg 222]

8mo/Aug 25, 1753 Joseph Burson Sen'r produced a Cert from Buckingham Mo Mtg in PA for himself & 3 children Rachel, Benjamin and Deborah Burson.

No wife Rachel mentioned in Cert of Removal at Buckingham Mtg in PA or acceptance at Fairfax Mtg in VA

Abington Monthly Meeting Record of Birth, pg 3: "The births of George & Hannah Burson's children: 1. James Burson Born the 29th day of ye 9th mo 1688 2. Joseph Burson Born the 25th day of ye 12th month 1689". Pursuant to the Julian calendar in use prior to 1752, the reckoning of the dates would be: James: 29 Nov 1688 and Joseph: 25 Feb 1690 (he could not have been born in 1689 just 3 months after his brother James) Both were born in Philadelphia County - most likely Dublin Twp - where their father owned land. Montgomery County did not exist until 1784, after the Revolutionary War

Buckingham Monthly Meeting Minutes 1720 to 1763: Minutes of 7mo/Sep 2, 1751 - The request of Joseph Burson for a certificate to Fairfax Monthly Meeting in VA did not include his wife Rachel; Minutes of 10mo/Dec 2, 1751: Certificate did not include his wife Rachel; it was written for Joseph Burson and children Rachel, Benjamin & Deborah. A separate Certificate was issued for his son Joseph Burson, Jr. at the same meeting. They were not received at Fairfax Mtg in Fairfax County, VA until 8mo/Oct 25, 1753.
