The Late Frank Gordon
Another of our old and highly esteemed citizens in the person of Frank Gordon, Sr. paid the last debt of nature on October 16th 1917, at the ripe age of 86 years and if suffering were to be his lot, then it is well that death came quickly. His long and active life was almost wholly spent in this town, where he reared a family of one girl and three sons by his first wife.
The deceased was a man of many good qualities and his long life has been a succession of noble deeds. His faithfulness to friends and duty were characteristics that stood out prominently during his whole life.
He leaves to mourn a devoted wife and four loving children, namely; Mrs. Minnie Lafountain of St. Albans, VT; Angus Gordon of Springfield, Mass; Frank Gordon of St. Timothy, Que., and William Gordon of Williamstown, Ont.
The funeral, which was very large, was held on Saturday morning to St. Mary's Church, where Rev. Fr. Desjardins officiated and was attended by all the children as well as by many relatives and friends out of town.
