Linza Allen married Emma Gray, Sept. 18, 1892, in Bartholomew County Indiana.

Linza Allen, 85, died at 6:15 o'clock this morning at his home in Azalia.

Mr. Allen served as Republican sheriff of Bartholomew county during 1927 and 1928 and was a retired farmer. He had been in ill health six years and bedfast most of the time the past three years.

Born in Ripley county near Friendship, June 12. 1869, he was the son of George and Sarah Rand Allen.

Funeral rites will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday at the Friends Church with the Reverend Marshall Tolle in charge. Burial will be made at Sandcreek Friends cemetery, and there will be Masonic graveside services. The casket will be open at Hathaway Funeral Home Friday noon until time of going to the church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma, who died June 17, 1918. He was a member of the Friends church and the Masonic lodge.

Survivors are the following children: Jesse Allen and Mrs. Chester Clark of Azalia, Mrs. William Zuckschwerdt of Columbus, Marion Allen and Joseph Allen of Indianapolis and Lynn Allen of Whitaker, Calif.; two brothers, George Allen of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Otto Allen of Forrest; and a sister, Mrs. Luella Riley of Attica.
