Marguerite McSwain Johnson, 94, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at White Oak Manor.

A graveside service will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Blacksburg.

Mrs. Marguerite McSwain Johnson, age 94, died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at White Oak Manor. She was born March 25, 1914 in Cherokee County, SC, the daughter of the late George Pinkney McSwain and Ida Ann Mullinax McSwain and was the wife of the late Rev. Howard Thomas Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a retired ministers wife and a member of First Baptist Church of Blacksburg, SC.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by a son, Rev. Cecil Johnson and his wife Carolyn of Lancaster, 2 grandchildren, Yvonne Oswald and her husband James and Nan Johnson, 2 great grandchildren, Justin and Benjamin Oswald, and 2 sisters, Lucille Randall of Grover, NC and Verona Hardin of Blacksburg, SC.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Carroll and a brother, Paul McSwain.
