Roy Lee Young, age 58, of Fulton, Missouri died Wednesday July 23,2008 at his home.
He was born February 3,1950, in Warrenton, Missouri, the son of Abbie Ruth (Butcher) Young Akers and the late Diamond E. Young Jr.
Suvivors include a long time companion, Becky Davies, of Fulton, Missouri; three daughters Sonia Allen, Tabitha Young and Becky Boston all of Fulton, Missouri; four brothers, Charles Akers of Steedman, Missouri, Diamond Young of Mexico, Missouri, Roger Young of Jonesburg, Missouri and Clifford Akers of Licking, Missouri; two sisters Linda Davidson of Columbia, Missouri and Sally LaGesse of Mexico, Missouri; six grandchildren Amber and Levi Allen, Tiffaney Butcher, Roy Travis and DJ and Tyler Boston all of Fulton, Missouri; many nieces and nephews.
He was also proceeded in death by a step-father; a brother; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Mr. Young was employed by Callaway County Road and Bridge Department. He was a member of Reform babtist Church and also the Callaway Rough Riders Club.
Services are at 11AM Saturday at the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverand Weldon Formsn and Reverand Glen Forman officiating. Burial will follow in Steedman Cemetary.
