Eliza married Louis Dee Dortch in about 1888 most likely in Clay County, Arkansas. They had one daughter, Letha Ann "Annie" Dortch Hampton, born March 31, 1889 in Rector, Clay County, Arkansas. Some time after the birth of Letha Ann, Eliza died in 1889 at the age of 22. Her death was probably in April, 1889.
Eliza was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth J. ____ Lamb. She was survived by her husband Louis Dee Dortch, her daughter Letha Ann "Annie" Dortch Hampton, her father Thomas B. Lamb, and one sister Alice LaVanda Lamb Mannon who is buried at Rock Springs Cemetery in Knob, Clay, AR. Eliza was also survived by half sisters Della A. Lamb, Nancy E. Lamb, Lethia F. Lamb, and Sergia Lamb as well as half brothers John G. Lamb, Huston Lamb, and Rufus Lamb.
Her burial location is unknown.
Eliza's sister Alice LaVanda Lamb Mannon is buried at Rock Springs Cemetery in Knob, Clay, Arkansas.
However, the majority of the extended Lamb clan lived in Blue Cane, Clay County and Leonard, Clay County, AR and are almost all buried at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, Clay County, AR.
Some of the Lamb siblings and their families moved back to Graves and Calloway counties in Kentucky but it is unlikely Eliza would be buried outside of Arkansas.
It is notable that while Eliza's grave has not been found, neither have the graves of father Thomas B. Lamb, mother Elizabeth J. ___ Lamb, or stepmother Pernecia been located and they may all be together.
Please notify me if anyone locates Eliza's grave. Thank you very much!
