James Flynn was born the son son of William Flynn & Sarah Flynn , He married Ann "Nancy" Ball on December 22 1828 in Fauquier County Virginia and were the parents of Sarah Margaret Flynn Ball, Mahala Catherine Flynn Lunceford, Ann Flynn Lunceford, Benjamin Willoughby Flynn,Malinda Flynn Hurst,Rachael Flynn Creel and Samuel Flynn. In 1845 by her best Friend Benjamin Ball Nancy Flynn filed a Chancery Case accusing him of abandonment and cruelty contrary to the History written about him in the Preston County History Books which claim he brought his family by covered wagon to Preston after his wife's death only he and his older son lived in Preston at the time , James passed away in 1858 and his wife Nancy lived until 1872.
