Miriam Ley

Mrs. Miriam Ley, 61, Greeley, died Sunday, Feb. 3, at Weld County General Hospital.

She was born May 20, 1918, to John and Catherine (Jacoby) Strauch at Windsor.

On Feb. 16, 1941, she was married to Matthies Ley at the German Congregational Church at Windsor.

Mrs. Ley attended school at Windsor. After her marriage they farmed in the Hudson and Kuner areas and later lived at Platteville for eight years where she kept a home for L.C. Camp for several years. They moved to Greeley in November of 1979.

She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ at Windsor.

Survivors are her husband, Matthies of Greeley; two daughters, one of Hudson and one of Prospect Valley; a son, of Brush; six sisters, Mrs. Katie Glantz of Fort Collins, Mrs. Rachel Ehrlich of Stockton, Calif., Mrs. Esther Frank and Mrs. Lilly Dumler, both of Sunnyside, Wash., Mrs. Elizabeth Hahn of Toppenish, Wash., and Mrs. Freida Pfief of Windsor; three brothers John Strauch of Laurel, Mont., Reuben Strauch of Billings, Mont., and Fred Strauch of California, and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Macy Allnutt Drawing Room. Interment will be in the Mizpah Cemetery at Platteville.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Research Center or the Miriam Ley Memorial Fund in care of Macy Allnutt Mortuary.
