Charles immigrated to US in 1840, along with his parents, William and Sarah Brewer Morris, his brother, John Morris of Mercer County, IL, and sister, Caroline Morris Harris, of NY.
Charles married Francis Harriet Moseley (dau. of Churchill and Nancy Ann Chastain Moseley of Mercer county) Jan. 27, 1858 in Mercer County. Together they had 10 children (and she had 1 child prior to their marriage). After Charles' death, Francis and 9 of her children moved via covered wagon to Clark County, MO, where she spent the remainder of her 90 some years.
