Mr. Carroll, a retired senior chief storekeeper in the United States Navy, also retired from Virginia State Government as a storekeeper for the state police, died June 24 in Virginia Beach, Va., of heart failure. br He is survived by his wife, Willodean Deanie Carroll; two daughters and two stepsons, Theresa Ballard of Burke, Va., Susan Carroll-Ramsey of Folly Beach, S.C., Richard Baker of Orange Park, Fla., and Donald Baker, address unknown; and a sister, Imogene Sweat of Adamsville.
