Delia Harrison Kane, 68, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009. She was a resident of Robertsdale and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 41 years, working mostly in the Robertsdale Post Office. She also managed Ed Kane Farm. She was a member of St. Patrick's Ladies Auxiliary and the Roy Alotta Red Hat organization.
She is survived by her husband, Edward H. Kane Jr.; daughter, Carmen Hayes; two sons, Edward H. Kane III and Patrick Kane, all of Robertsdale; a sister, Carolyn H. Helsper of Pasadena, Calif.; one brother, James "Sonny" Harrison of Robertsdale; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Robertsdale. The Rev. William James will officiate and burial will follow at Wynn Cemetery in Summerdale. Visitation will begins at 9 a.m.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Patrick's Catholic School, P.O. Box 609, Robertsdale, AL 36567.
