Glowdene Miller of Springville, IN, died Wednesday, September 23, 1998, at Bloomington Hospital. Born on July 28, 1917, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Julius and Roxie (Holmes) Blackwell. She married Frank Miller on June 10, 1937, and he died on October 21, 1977.

Surviving are one son, Ron Miller of Springville, IN; one daughter, Janet Wells of Springville, IN; three sisters: Helen Zike of Bloomington, IN, Geniveve Roberts of Springville, IN, and June Blackwell of Mitchell, IN; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

She had worked at Sarkes-Tarzian Corp. in Bloomington and was postmaster at Springville. She was a member of the Oolitic Baptist Church.

Services for Glowdene Miller will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in Lowder Cemetery.
