Born in Galivants Ferry, he was a son of the late William Gaston and Jesse Page. He was a member of Red Hill Southern Methodist Church and was a retired farmer. Surviving are his wife, Maude Dewey Page; seven sons, Shubert M "Sonny" Page, W. Gaston "Colonel" Page, John R. Page, Daniel B. Page and Samuel D. Page of Galivants Ferry, Phillip H. Page of Bennettsville and Andrew J. Page of Cullman ALA; three daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Carolyn P.) Eaton of Byron GA, Mrs. Frank (Betsy P.) Flinn of North Charleston and Ann Page Gore of Galivants Ferry; five sisters, Nell P. Busbee of Conway, Mary Etta Lewis of Aynor, Mrs. Tyson (Janie) Thomas of Rains, Evelyn Stubbs of Myrtle Beach and Hilda Grigsby of Panama City FLA; 24 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
