Conductor Rufus Rawls, who was killed in the recent railroad accident, was buried in the family cemetery near Ruth, ten miles east of here, Friday June 30.
The funeral sermon was preached by the Rev. Mr. Reeves, of McComb, an old friend of the conductor.
The funeral was in charge of the Norfield Masonic Lodge, which was assisted by the Knights Templar, of which Mr. Rawls was a member.
The funeral was largely attended by Masons and relatives of the deceased. Conductor Rawls leaves a wife and several brothers and a sister to mourn his loss.
These relatives have the deepest sympathy of every one in this, their sad bereavement.
