Memorial Services for Bill J Blair, 76, of Edmond are scheduled for 2 pm Monday at First Baptist Church in Edmond preceded by a private family graveside service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home.
Blair was born Aug. 4, 1925, in Kennett, Mo. He died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001 in Edmond.
Blair served in the US Navy during WWII. He attended Oklahoma A & M graduating with a degree in Architectural Engineering. He served as a deacon in First Baptist Church of Edmond and had an active role in starting the Henderson Hills Mission.
While making his living as an architect, Blair served the Lord as a Baptist preacher. He was pastor of Seward Community Church from 1961-66 and Fairview Baptist Church in Edmond from 1969-to 1998.
Survivors include: wife, Bernice "Bernie" Blair of Edmond; sons Dave, Steve and Paul of Edmond; and 8 grandchildren.
