Mrs. Henrietta Buss
Mrs. Henrietta Buss, widow of the late Carl Buss, died Friday Morning, March 20, at her home on Union street, after a long illness. She was 85 years of age. Mrs. Buss whose maiden name was Miss Henrietta Koehler, was born in Germany Nov. 10 1850, and came to this country with her parents when she was five years of age, the family locating at Hustisford, which was their home for a few years, later moving to Lebanon. Fifty-nine years ago she was united in marriage with Carl Buss and they resided at Lebanon until their removal to Oconomowoc 30 years ago. Mr. Buss preceded his wife in death 27 years ago, and she is survived by the following children: Mrs. Herman Korth, Clyman; Mrs. August Tesch and Mrs. Otto Groth of Oconomowoc; Mrs. William Uhlman of Neillsville; Mrs. Louis Wolter of Ashippun; Mrs Arthur Wolter of La Belle Village; one brother August Koehler of Watertown; 17 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Buss was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran church and of Ladies' Aid of this denomination. The Funeral Servies were held Sunday afternoon from the residence to St. Paul's church, the Rev. Theodore Kissling officiating. Interment took place in the Lebanon Cemetery.
