Beatrice S. Zychowski, beloved mother and grandmother, age 79 of Vulcan, Michigan, was called home to the Lord July 14, 2005 at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford, MI.

The former Beatrice Ball was born on August 4, 1925 in Norway, the daughter of the late Frank and Stephanie (Gnody) Ball.

Beatrice Ball married John M. Baciak on April 22, 1944 at St. Barbara's Church in Vulcan; he preceded her in death on June 11, 1955.

Then named Beatrice Baciak, she married Sigmund Zychowski on January 13, 1962 at St. Barbara's Church in Vulcan; he preceded her in death on February 25, 1983.

Beatrice was a member of St. Barbara's Church, St. Ann's Altar Society, Legion of Mary Auxiliary, MSU Extension Services, and TOPS.

Beatrice served as the Norway Township Treasurer for 32 years, retiring in 2004.

She was named the Dickinson Co. Homemaker of the Year in 1995 and enjoyed crocheting and crafting.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Beatrice Zychowski was survived by her children Mary Kay Cazzola of Vulcan, John (Cathy) Baciak of Hamilton Lakes, Barbara (Frank) Hahn of The Villages, FL, Anthony (Sheryl) Baciak of Norway, Margaret Baciak of Vulcan, William (Jill) Baciak of Kingsford, Joseph Baciak of Wisconsin Rapids, WI., James (Roberta) Baciak of Iron Mountain, and Frank (Suzanne) Zychowski of Commerce Township; 23 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren; brother Leonard (Betty) Bal of Vulcan; sister Helen (Adolph) Rossato of Vulcan; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Luba.

Mass of Christian Burial: St. Barbara's Church, with Fr. Joy Adimakkeel presiding.
