She was born on Oct. 16, 1944, in Norway, the daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Ball) Baciak.
Mary was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church. She loved caring for her grandchildren (first and foremost), reading, gardening, bird watching and cooking for family and friends.
Mary is survived by her sons, Daniel (Marilou) Cazzola of Iron Mountain, Dean (Carol Trepanier) Cazzola of Loretto, Dwayne (Kristi) Cazzola of Norway, and Donald (Julie Taylor) Cazzola of Vulcan; daughter, Eve (Doug) Brooks of Port Huron; 19 grandchildren; brothers, Jack (Cathy) Baciak of Hamilton Lakes, Tony (Sheryl) Baciak of Norway, Bill (Jill) Baciak of Kingsford, Joe Baciak of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Jim (Roberta) Baciak of Iron Mountain and Frank (Sue) Zychowski of Commerce Township; sisters, Barbara (Frank) Hahn of The Villages, Fla. and Margaret Baciak of Vulcan; uncle, Leonard (Betty) Bal of Vulcan; aunts, Helen (Adolf) Rossato of Vulcan and Amelia Zanon of Hamilton Lakes; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Baciak; her mother, Beatrice Zychowski; and her stepfather, Sigmund Zychowski.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the church with Fr. Timothy Ekaitis, presiding.
