Mrs Schaffner was the daughter of Phillip
and Elizabeth Irvin and she was born December 18,1875
at Newark,
She was first married Jacob Bates who died in 1818,and was married Amil Schaffner April 19,1933
who died in 1953.she was a member of St.Peter's Evangelicial and reformed Church.
Surviving are three sons Dale Bates of East Main Street,
Glen Bates of North Street and Ray Bates North Market Street;a daughter,Bessie Kine of 902 Kear Road;
Six Step-GrandChildren,Paul and Carl Schaffner of Detroit,Margaret Kapp of Tiffin,Maxine Freahwater of Paulding and Esther Wendel and Robert Schaffner of Van Wert; a Brother, Manley Irwin of Decatur,Ind.; one sister
Mrs Virgie Forman of Berne,Ind.12 grandchildren and Seven Great-Great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m.Saturday at
St.Peter's Evangelical and Reformed Church.Dr.V.P.Wierrwille to officiate.
Interment will be in the Woodwood Cemetery,the Knoll-Bickner-Didrick Funeral Home in charge.
