Kerry Emmons, 56, of Lawrenceville passed away Thursday July 31, 2008 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
He was born May 30, 1952 in Lawrenceville, IL, the son of Charles E. and Mary Eileen (Jones) Emmons.
Kerry was an electrician by trade and a former Volunteer Fire Fighter for Lawrence-Allison Fire District.
He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
He was also a member of the Elks, Moose and Knights of Columbus.
He graduated from Lawrenceville High School and attended the Indianapolis School of Mortuary Science.
He is survived by 2 sons: Zach Emmons of Evansville, IN, Eric Emmons of Carbondale, IL, 2 daughters: Amanda Megginson of Dupo, IL, Melissa Emmons of Carbondale, IL, 2 brothers: Kelly Emmons of Hoffman Estates, IL, Gene Emmons of Longmont, CO, 3 sisters: Judy Morton of Lumberton, Tx, Patty White of Lawrenceville, IL, Joni Courtney of Lawrenceville, IL, and 4 grandchildren.
His parents and a brother Kim Emmons preceded him in death.
The funeral will be Monday at 10:00am at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL with burial to follow at the Lawrenceville City cemetery
